Hit this pothole going about 70, as I had no time to slow down or dodge it because of other cars. No damage. Went by the next day and there were some pieces of plastic scattered around the area, and the pavement was even more damaged.
Anyone else ever come away from something you thought was severe with little/no damage despite your expectations?

I was driving a Mazda 3 one evening a few winters ago when a wheel came off of an oncoming salt truck. I swerved to the side to avoid the bouncing wheel and it hit me on the driver door. The impact sounded huge but when I pulled over it had just left a small tire scuff. I came out super lucky.

That's not a pothole, that's a crater.

It looked large enough for me to fit inside. I just wished I had some road flares or cones to mark it so others didn't hit it.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

In my 92 Camry I was "drifting" in a snowy parking lot. I hit a patch of ice and slammed into a brick wall. I figured my rear bumper was got. got out to look at he damage, and it was nothing, just some spider webbed paint.

360'd off an icy road on summer tires into the side of a field, had to get pulled out of it... Nothing damaged but some dirt stuck to the bottom of it...
